Tamme Farm herb garden started with a tiny basil plant I bought as a test in 2001 while studying at the Räpina School of Horticulture. I had just moved to the country and knew little about growing herbs.
The first summer, a single basil plant got my full attention and care, but I planted several large herb beds the following year. The door to the mysterious world of herbs was opened, and there was no way back. The new herb beds and new exciting varieties kept on growing.
Soon, the herbs were joined by the nimble chillies, which I experimented with growing for several years before I found the spicy varieties most suitable for our conditions. At first, herbs and chillies enriched my family’s table, but then I started making preserves, teas and salts for sale. My hobby could already be called a family business.
Currently, more than 500 species and varieties of fragrant, flavouring and medicinal plants grow in the herb garden of Tamme Farm, whose beautiful colours, delicious aromas, and rich flavours enchant the garden visitors, and tasty products delight the guests of Tamme Farm.
Products with an incomparable flavour combination
Over the years, I have honed the flavours of Tamme Farm´s herb garden gourmet and spice jams, marinated chillies, herb oil, seasoning salts and herb and berry teas, and they are distinctive, exciting and completely irresistible.
It is enough to name just a few, for example, Strawberry jam with basil, Raspberry jam with mint, Cider jelly with chilli or Onion tart; when your mouth starts watering, and you want to know how it all tastes and what other exciting things we can offer you!

We use flavour and tea plants in our products, which are not the result of human breeding but are natural species that can be grown ideally in the Estonian climate. The plants have preserved all the taste qualities nature provides as nature has created them – wild, resilient, vibrant and robust.
We do not use artificial fertilisers or pesticides to grow our plants – I can proudly say that Tamme Farm is a recognised organic producer. Our packaging is environmentally friendly and recyclable.
In addition to private individuals, we have also thought of companies. We offer exciting sets of unique containers and other products for business gifts, and we use labels or packaging with your company’s logo on request. Feel free to ask for an offer!

We here at Tamme Herb Farm don’t like to keep all the wonders to ourselves. Instead, we want to share them with our visitors with great passion.
I look forward to welcoming you to our lush and colourful garden to introduce you to the all-time favourites I have planted in all pots and garden beds. Walking in our aromatic garden may encourage you to know the world of herbs better and grow these magnificent plants yourself. Those extraordinary and mystical plants all have their personalities and wants, let alone their unique scents and flavours that you can never get enough of.
From our farm, you can buy all kinds of aromatic herbs, from the well-known to exotic sorts, to take home with you. I have to warn you, though, that growing herbs can be catchy, and you could get addicted. Even my passion, which doesn’t seem to blow over, started with a random purchase. I have encouraged my family and our lovely staff, Eevi, Elvi and Katrin, to cultivate herbs. Together, we take care of the plants and visitors of the herb garden while also preparing various Tamme Farm herb garden products for sale.
